Product description

Brand:  Artifort, Netherlands www.artifort.com Designer:  Pierre Paulin Design Connected ID: 588

This chair is the first design with the new construction techniques (metal frame covered with foam). Because of its unique form it was a revolution in the interior of the sixties. It was the first of a series of remarkable sculptural designed chairs. The chair is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. An armchair for all times. Sensitive yet strong. Art that is always comfortable. The prize-winning designs of Paulin appear as true works of art. They are challenging. They inspire. But, above all, they are pieces of furniture that you can sit in. They are not form for the sake of form but applied design. The designs of Paulin were revolutionary at the time. Now they have become timeless. An evergreen.
