About Parketthaus Scheffold

Parketthaus Scheffold has 125 years of traditions in natural wood flooring offering an impressive range of wood types, finishes, colors or basically all you may need for your project.

WHAT WE DELIVERED

Parketthaus Scheffold needed a solution to present a collection of 48 different natural wood flooring products. After discussing the possible approaches with the client, we agreed on a good and well-balanced option. It was decided that each product will be presented in a different interior context but to design and virtually create in 3d 48 unique interiors was impossible due to certain time and budget constraints. So our in-house creative team designed just three virtual spaces - living room, kitchen and bedroom. Spacious interiors aimed to put the focus on the floorings where all other materials, colors and furniture pieces were selected to only complement the natural beauty of the wood.

One of the really amazing advantages of CGI is that we only needed to create these three different spaces and then with some smart plays with the camera views, furniture and the small accessories, we finally produced 48 interior visualizations with each one having its distinctive mood.

But may be the most challenging part of this project was the actual digitizing of the wood. With the support of Parketthaus Scheffold we organized the whole logistics to have physical samples for all 48 products shipped (nearly 1200 kilograms of 600+ individual wood planks on two Euro-pallets) to our photoshooting workshop. Each plank was carefully photographed and then processed to get its 100% accurate virtual representation. The quality of the wood textures we managed to produce was so great that we also decided to produce a series of close-up CGI showing the different floorings in extreme detail.
