WHAT WE DELIVERED
The iconic Trinidad chair designed by Nanna Ditzel 25 years ago is more than even an integral part of the modern Scandinavian interior design. This genuine design classic is now available in three new editions - smoked, grey and light grey oak, and Design Connected was commissioned to produce a total of 24 product images of Trinidad presenting six different combinations of materials and finishes. Each combination consisted of four standardized points of view including one extremely detailed image.
We first created the 3d model using only the photos provided by the Fredericia. In order to achieve maximum accuracy (since reliable 3d CAD data was not available), our 3d artists had to spend more time on matching the 3d model’s drafts to the reference photos. Here is a side to side comparison between the CGI and the photos demonstrating the feasibility of virtual photography. The right representation of the oak and metal frame finishes and the textiles for the seat cushion was ensured by the physical material samples Fredericia provided.
