The prize, the brainchild of Gio Ponti was first awarded in 1954, is celebrated as part of an annual exhibition held at the historical Triennial Palace in Milan. Although the prize is only open to Italian design, the Finnish designercollaborated with the Italian manufacturer Montina to produce this beautiful range of timber furniture.
