Inspired by the spaces between trees in a forest and the play of light against dark, the Alder collection offers a playful, dynamic take on a simple rectangular bench. Also available in cubes, the round ends in the design are reminiscent of the natural world (the artist is reminded of bubbles surfacing on still water) while maintaining a modern urban aesthetic. The alder wood used in the collection, like almost all of the wood Comber uses, was sourced sustainably; the design of this piece also uses a wide variety of wood sizes, insuring little or no wood is wasted.
